John Mihaljevic spearheads MOI's research activities, supported by a team of equity research analysts with extensive investment and accounting experience. MOI also draws on a network of third-party industry experts and investment analysts to assist us in evaluating industry and competitive trends and other fundamental factors.
John is a hedge fund manager, former investment banker and equity analyst. He is the founder and managing director of Mihaljevic Capital Management LLC, a value-oriented investment firm that serves as the general partner of Mihaljevic Partners LP, a private investment partnership.
John is a member of Value Investors Club, an exclusive community of top money managers, and has won the Club's prize for top investment idea. He is a trained economist and asset allocator, having studied under Yale Chief Investment Officer David Swensen and served as research assistant to Economics Nobel Laureate James Tobin. He is also co-founder of Mobilocity, an IT services firm that raised $24 million of venture funding from Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, Siemens, and Samsung, and was acquired by Qualcomm.
John holds a BA in Economics, summa cum laude, from Yale and is a CFA charterholder. He resides in New York City with his wife and two children.
